The day after your wedding, you and Jean found yourselves in Bora Bora. Once you landed, you and Jean settled down for a moment. Your ideal plan was to unpack, get something to eat at the hotel you were in and probably go to sleep. Jean had different plans in mind. As you unpacked your suitcase, he kept massaging your shoulders. His hands moved down your arms and you didn't protest. Y'all, I don't write smut. Give me a few years and I'll write everything that when down.
Despite getting married on television and the whole world knowing, you and Jean never saw yourself as a married couple. It was more like dating to you guys. There were times he's walked out on you because you were too "emotional" and you've walked out on him because he was too "sensitive". But you always found your way back to each other.
During the week of your first "wedding" anniversary, Jean flew you out to Corfu, Greece. The first six days, he recreated your first "honeymoon" night and on the seventh day, he got on one knee again and asked you to be his wife- for real this time. You immediately said yes and threw yourself at him, toppling him over. You both landed on the restaurant floor but that didn't stop you from kissing him.
Wedding planning didn't take as long and it wasn't as hectic as it was the last time. You and Jean had decided to elope. You decided not to tell anyone, except Mikasa, that the wedding was real this time. Everyone you knew had been under the impression that you were spouses.
The day you went to court, Mikasa had been your only witness. You liked the idea of eloping. It was more intimate. No camera, no scripts. Just you and Jean.
Buying what you call a 'mansion' was not on your bingo card. Before you officially made Jean your husband, you had lived in a penthouse that Levi owned. You thought it was perfect- there was enough space for you and Jean. However, it was time to put your big boy pants on.
The outside of your home looks scary. No, it was a pretty house but this was a HUGE mansion. The inside of your home was very homey, however. There were office spaces for you and Jean- which he loved because he was getting back into law again (he had to quit his job because fans and Yeagerists, Eren's "fandom", had found his place of work and harassed him in some sort of way. Jean works with an elite private firm now), a game room, an inside gym, and a sitting room. Your backyard had a pool, a cabana, a garden, and outside guest quarters.
To be perfectly honest, you both found yourself in your offices. You started your own successful wedding planning business and Jean had his cases. Sometimes you felt like a big home was a waste of time. It's not like you had people to live in it for you.
"Jean, we need to talk."
Jean had just come home from work. It was one in the morning. You were standing in front of him in one of your many bathrobes. Jean walks up to you and plants a kiss on your forehead. "What's up, babe? No hi or anything?"
"I'm afraid that you're not taking care of yourself well enough," you start. "What do you mean, baby?" Jean asks mindlessly as he removes his coat. "Oh, would you stop with the baby thing? I'm trying to have a serious conversation with you!"
Jean looks at you like you hit his mother or something. "I don't think a serious conversation includes you raising your voice at me," he answers. "Excuse me? Your thick head doesn't like to listen to anyone, so we got to yell things into it," you retort. Jean ignores you and makes his way to the kitchen. You're eyes widen- he's never walked away from you before. "Excuse me!” you call after him.
There is no response from Jean, who pulls a white wine from the fridge. "You're not drinking that. Not until you hear me out," you try again. "Well, you could have told me instead of chewing me out about calling you 'baby', y/n," Jean responds. He turns away from you again and starts looking through the cabinets for a wine glass. You take this as an opportunity to take the wine off the island counter and pour it out. Jean's head snaps back once he hears liquids going down the drain. "What the hell is your problem? I can't drink now?!" he snaps.
"I'm worried about you, idiot. You come home late, I never hear you eating, you don't take your double showers and you're always exhausted. You don't think your job is hurting you? I don't even see you anymore. Your job is hurting us!" you cry.
Jean shakes his head and mutters some nonsense under his breath before placing the wine glass he picked on the island counter. He shakes his head as he leaves.
"Are you gonna be like this when the baby is here?" You call out.
"Excuse me?"
"Are you going to be working long hours and act like a jerk when I'm farther along? What about when the baby gets here? At this point, the baby doesn't even have a father."
Jean walks over to you with confusion in his eyes. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"I'm pregnant, Jean," you say with a small chuckle. I've wanted to tell you this whole time but you've been busy and I just got fed up tonight because I miss you."
Jean doesn't say a word. Instead, he undoes your robe and places a hand on your stomach. "We're having a baby? Are you serious? Us? How..."
You could only smile wider. Seeing Jean in awe about your very small bump was an entertaining sight.
"I'll...I'll talk to my b-boss. In fact, I-I'll q-quit my job...yeah! I'll q-quit!" he finally lets out.
"Oh no, don't do that. Just get your hours fixed and if they don't allow that, we'll find a different place, yeah?"
"S-sure," Jean stutters. "Are you hungry? Would you like me to order something? Do you want socks? What do you want?"
"I think I want you to take a bath and for you to sleep, mister," you answer. Jean still in a trance, obeys.
"I can't believe we had two. I was under the impression there was only one."
"At least they'll keep the big room you painted busy."
Jean had one of your newborns sprawled on his bare chest. You cradled the other one in your arms. A little boy and girl. Your daughter, Maia, already had Jean wrapped around her finger. Your son, Marquis, was a little independent, despite being a few days old.
"I can't believe we made them," Jean says. After your emergency C-section, Jean was back into that trance he was in when you first told him you were pregnant. "We should have one more. We have pretty babies."
"Shut up, Jean."
You never thought you'd allow a camera in your sight again. Obviously, there was the paparazzi that hounded you and your children down on the regular. But a camera allowed by you in your home? Never. Until today.
It's been seven years since you met the love of your life. You're thirty now and Jean is thirty-two. The two little menaces in your home are three. Maia and Marquis were just like their father- silly and full of life unless otherwise. But at least they look like you (except the pieces of ash brown in their hair that they picked up from Jean). You were pregnant with another. You hoped that your child would bring you peace but even if they were as colorful as your two, it wouldn't matter to you.
You sat in the family room with Jean and your twins as the camera team prepared their cameras and other equipment. Jean was trying his best to keep your children in one place, as you adjust your hair.
"Ms. y/n, are you ready?" Your interviewer asks. You nod and Jean gives you a nervous look. "Hey, kids...why don't you go into the sitting room. We'll come get you later, yeah?" you say softly. Your twins start to whine but they also start their walk to the sitting room.
"Mr. and Mrs. Kirstein, I'll count you off now," your cameraman says. You both nod, waiting for the interviewer to start asking you questions.
"Mr. and Mrs. Kirstein, I'll count you off now," your cameraman says. You both nod, waiting for the interviewer to start asking you questions.
"Mr. and Mrs. Kirstein, it's such an honor to meet you both. Seven years together...amazing. You've been together for almost a decade now," your interviewer starts.
"It's been interesting but it's been nice getting to know my girlfriend of seven years now," Jean says jokingly. "Oh stop it," you reply teasingly.
"How have you changed since the Bachelorette?"
You take a deep breath and Jean looks down awkwardly. "Well, we've been cautious. Obviously, with our privacy but also with the people we allow in our circle," you answer. "We've been in contact with a few contestants and it's been on and off. We've learned that trust is key...not only in marriage but who we bring into it," Jean says.
"If you don't mind me asking, who is in your life right now? Have you been in contact with your father? What about Levi?"
Jean clinches his fist and you take it in your hand, letting him know you were still here with him. "Well, Bertholdt and Reiner are still one of our biggest friends," you answer. Reiner and Bertholdt had a baby recently, a little girl named Gabi, but you decided not to announce that to protect their privacy. "Mikasa and I are still friends and we're still trying to get used to Eren being in her-our lives." Mikasa and Eren met up again and Mikasa was still head over heels for him. You were uncomfortable (because of his silence when his fans harassed your husband) at first but he was good to her. "The twins absolutely adore Levi and Erwin. They're their grandpas," you finish. You still hadn't answered the question about Jean's father.
"And your father? Mr. Kirstein?"
"My father is not in my life. Please stop asking."
The interviewer purses their lips, now feeling embarrassed. “I apologize, Mr. Kirstein. I’ll ask the next question: what are some obstacles you’ve faced in your relationship?”
“Well, we thought we had communication down. But we didn’t…at least not completely. But we managed,” you say.
“I think our children are proof of it,” Jean suddenly includes.
You glare at him and slap his hand, non verbally telling him to shut up. He only gives you a cheeky smile.
The rest of the questions were about hardships, what turned you both on, and your hopes for the future.
When the interviewer finally announced that the last question was coming up, you couldn’t have been happier.
“What are three things you appreciate about each other?”
You look at Jean and then back at the interviewer. “Er-well…I-“
“I appreciate how serious you get,” Jean interrupts, “ how kind you are and how dedicated you are- especially to your children and your career. I wouldn’t want anyone else but you.”
“Jean-“ your voice cracked. It always seemed like you had power over your husband and he was just your dog but he still knew how to overpower you with his words. “I don’t know what to say…you’re so dedicated to our family. Watching you play with our kids, feed them, and put them to sleep- you just prove that you're the perfect man for this job. I see how you treat your mom and I don’t worry about our children and me being mistreated. And you’re so strong. You lost the person who should have been there for you and your mom but you still worked hard and you found some peace. I love you, Jean Kirstein.
Jean takes your hand and kisses it. “I love you too, y/n l/n.”
The End.

CHAPTER 3:
Bakugou made it to his room and closed the door behind him before throwing himself into bed without even taking off his uniform in exhaustion. He was totally worn out today. Being a girl really takes a lot out of ya. He had to physically restrain himself from launching forward at a couple of extras that whistled at him like he was a damn dog. It pissed him off.
The blonde got to relax all but ten minutes before there was a series of knocks on his door. He would've ignored it if the knocking wasn't persistently getting louder the longer he waited. With a groan, Bakugou got up and swung the door open. He was prepared to lash out on whoever it was when he suddenly found himself getting pushed aside as Mina walked in past him like she owned the place. The pink girl was followed by round face, ears, frog girl, invisi-bitch, and last but not least, ponytail. At least Momo had the decency to look apologetic as she sheepishly closed the door behind herself. "Sorry, Bakugou-kun. They asked where I was going and I told them I was coming to see you to help you out with your new uniform and.. well.." she trailed off, looking at the rest of girls who were currently looking around his room with curiosity and awe. After all, they had never been in his room before. All except for Mina.
They ignored his glare at the uninvited intrusion.
"Sit, please" Momo smiled and gestured towards his bed. He scoffed but did as told, watching as she unrolled a measuring tape then came forward. "Arms to the side" she hummed and he did, too tired to argue. She measured his hips, his waist, and his bust before telling him to stand to measure his torso, arm length, and a few other things.
"So Bakugou-chan, how do you like being a girl so far?" invisible girl asked and the others nodded in agreement, looking up with interest. They were all sitting on the floor in a circle around him and Momo. They looked like kindergartners waiting to be read a book.
"It sucks" he rolled his eyes and again they all nodded. "Sometimes, yeah" Uraraka sighed, resting her chin on her hand, "but otherwise it's fun!"
"Let's go to the mall tomorrow, Blasty! I want to dress you up in so many things" Mina squealed and Toru joined in with a squeal of her own, grabbing Mina's hands in excitement.
"Hah!? Do I look like a damn barbie to you?" he spat out. Momo was finished at that point and now had their back to them as she pulled up her shirt to use her quirk.
"You have the face for it, kero" Tsuyu put a finger to her cheek, tongue poking out slightly to the side.
"Ugh, don't even get me started. I've always been jealous of Bakugou's skin" Jirou grunted and Uraraka made a noise in agreement. "Me too! What's your secret, Bakugou?"
He scoffed. "I don't have a secret, losers. The old hag's quirk is glycerin. She passed on the good skin gene to me, I guess" he shrugged. All the girls continued gossiping and giggling before Momo was turning back around and wiping her forehead with her arm. "I hope this is okay, Bakugou-kun. I just made you the necessary'' she smiled and handed him the pile of clothes. He took them and looked over each one. It was basically the same as what that brown bag had that morning but this one was to his size. Momo also included three pairs of bras and three pairs of panties. He held up a navy blue bra to look at it closer before handing it back to Momo. "No."
"Bakugouuuuuuuu~ your back will hurt if you don't wear it" Mina whined. Really, she just wanted to see him in one.
"No."
Mina sighed before she smirked. "Just as well. Figured you were too much of a little boy that you feel your manhood threatened by a simple bra. Midoriya definitely wouldn't care" she shrugged, faking nonchalance. The others held their breath. SHE WAS POKING A THREE HEADED BEAST! WHAT WAS MINA DOING!
"WHAT'D YOU SAY, RACOON EYES!?" he yelled and she smirked. Got him.
"I'm more of a man than any of those other bastards. Even like this!" he growled. "Gimme that" Katsuki huffed and snatched the bra out of Momo's hands, chucking his blazer and uniform shirt off him and put it aside on his bed to fold later. He wasn't an animal.
Jirou looked up from her phone and blushed a dark red. "Ahh- BAKUGOU!!! YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT!!!" the short haired girl flailed her arms around before she covered her face. Bakugou put on the bra and reached back to clip it into place. Momo was impressed at how easily he was able to do it.
"There. Happy?" he frowned, arms crossed. It only served to push his breasts up and Jirou felt like dying in second hand embarrassment. He did it like nothing and the rest didn't even seem fazed! The girls all cheered and Mina even whistled. Yup. He was definitely hot and Invisible Girl was suddenly glad no one was able to see how she was pointedly staring.
***
That next morning, the girls all helped Bakugou get ready. He doesn't know why but now that he was a girl too, they all seemed to have collectively agreed to ignore every threat and snarl he sent their way and clinged to him more instead. It was a unanimous decision to adopt him into their girl group.
"Oi! Watch it, round face" Bakugou snarled but Ochako remained unfazed as she continued brushing out his blonde hair. His hair as a girl was the exact same as before and she was amazed at how soft to the touch it was. She always assumed it'll be hard and crunchy because of the spikes.
Katsuki buttoned up the uniform shirt over the bra Momo made him and slipped the dark green skirt up his perfectly smooth and fair legs. They made a compromise regarding his underwear and Momo made him boyshorts. There were absolutely no bruises or scars on him whatsoever, and if he had any leg hair they were so light that they couldn't even see them. Ochako finished and let him put on his knee high socks and shoes (which Mina let him borrow since his regular shoes were too big). When Momo handed him the tie it wasn't a surprise when he absolutely refused to wear it. He slipped on the blazer and Hagakure spritzed some sweet smelling perfume on him. He would've killed her if she hadn't left running.
"You look great, Blasty!"
"Bakugou-chan does look rather stunning, kero."
"The clothes hug your body perfectly, Bakugou-kun!"
Bakugou let out a 'tch' sound but the slight pink to his cheeks gave him away as they all insisted on walking with him towards class. He let them tag along but that doesn't mean he talked to them. They didn't mind though as they all talked amongst themselves. Walking the halls of UA with his backpack thrown casually over one shoulder, eyes set dead ahead, Katsuki didn't notice the way some random students' mouths dropped as they looked at him. Who wouldn't look when the blonde boy-turned-girl looked absolutely gorgeous!?!? To the people outside of class 3A, perhaps they thought that Bakugou had an unknown twin sister that transferred to the hero course recently. If they knew it was the explosive boy himself then maybe they would've thought twice before trying to approach him. Let's just say that a general education student with a bubble blowing quirk almost got turned to charcoal.
...
When Bakugou entered class in clothes that actually fit him, the reactions he got tripled from last time his classmates saw him. Deku could have had a stroke with all the blood that rushed to his face. "K-Kacchan!?" he sputtered out, hands flying up to cover his mouth. He was just happy his nose wasn't bleeding. A few seats away, Kirishima's face could have rivaled his hair and he found himself having to keep remembering that this was his best bro he was looking at. Sero was stunned into silence and Kaminari could have short-circuited from sight alone. Todoroki looked the same as always and would have seemed completely unfazed if the slight blush on his cheeks and the bit of frost on his right shoulder didn't betray him. Shoji cleared his throat and looked away, a rosy tint just barely showing over the top edge of his mask. Iida looked red and constipated. Once again, Mineta found himself having an inner dilemma and gripped his head in frustration, cursing the world that they had to make Bakugou, of all people, look so good as a girl.
The blonde may have not noticed any of this as he went to go sit, but the girls sure did. They smirked amongst themselves and all went to their desks just as Aizawa came in to start homeroom morning announcements.

OHSHC Rewrite: Episode 3b
Beware of the Physical Exams!
Host Club x reader
Summary: When the hosts convince y/n to get help, she finds trouble instead.
Word Count: 5.4k
Episode Masterlist
"Y/n, we've come here today to talk about a problem regarding you."
You looked around nervously, and began your verbal diarrhea. "Okay, um, first of all, I want to say I'm sorry. I know it's our number one priority to make the clients happy, and I was side tracked, and that's on me. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have been unprofessional with Alarico and that's super my fault. I know I need to get 100 guests and I'm only at 39 but I can do better, and again I'm really sorry for everything about yesterday, and—"
"Y/n," Kyoya cut you off. "This has nothing to do with your quota, or Alarico Gonzalez's behavior."
"Oh." You said dumbly.
"This is about your anxiety attack."
"Oh." You grumbled, though you quickly regained your composure. "I'm sorry you had to see that senpai."
"It was no trouble, and I've read that they can be very sudden and frightening to those who get them." He stated.
"We're really worried." Hikaru said.
"Yeah," Kaoru agreed. "When Kyoya told us, we had no idea how to help."
"You have to take care of yourself y/n-chan." Honey clutched usa-chan.
"Yeah." Mori said.
"That is why," Tamaki said, pointing to you. "We've decided to set up an appointment with the school therapist today!"
"Woah, let's not take it that far. I'm okay guys, really."
"You didn't look okay when you had trouble breathing yesterday." Kyoya stated.
"That was just a little hiccup!" You explained. "Things happen. I'm okay now, which is more important, right?"
Tamaki stepped up to you. "You're going to therapy, and that's final!"
"No." You said forcefully. This struck his feelings, and he sulked in the corner. You sighed. "I'm sorry I worried you all, and I'll be careful next time. I don't want to waste time and cut any classes so a therapist can tell me depressing things. I just want to forget about sad stuff here."
You gave them a smile. "Well, she seems unmotivated." Hikaru stated.
"But how are we going to get her to agree?" Kaoru asked.
Mori then thought of something. "Squishy ice cream."
That struck a nerve. You gasped and carefully looked at them, and Tamaki then got up. "That's right~ You were so busy last episode that you never got to try any, did you~?"
"Did you hear that?" Hikaru whispered mockingly. "She's never even tried squishy ice cream before. Isn't that sad?"
"Talk about a tragedy." Kaoru whispered back.
You nervously laughed. "C'mon guys, you don't really think of me as such glutton because I'm poor and never had it that I'd force myself to go to some therapy for some ice cream would you?" You kept nervously laughing, and everybody else smiled at you. You then quietly asked, "What time is the appointment?"
"We knew it." The twins said.
You scoffed and smiled. "You guys are something else. Why do you even care about this?"
"Don't refer to yourself as this!" Tamaki exclaimed. "If you need anything, know that I'm always here for you."
"You mean all of us are here for her?" Hikaru asked.
"As I said before, you are all the homosexual supporting cast!"
You let out an involuntary laugh. "Really senpai? Supporting cast?" You asked, walking over to them. "That's a little self absorbed of you." You then thought of something. "Can you guys do me a little favor though? Let's keep the therapy sessions to ourselves. My clients get worried easily and I feel weird when they get curious and ask me about my issues."
"Well, your appointment is right after the physical exams," Kyoya explained. "So that might be an issue."
"Alright then," Tamaki announced. "Gentlemen, it's time to enact The Keep Y/n's Secret Safe Plan!"
Later that day you walked with the twins to the physical exam, though the line was going to be too long to not miss your therapy session. When you went in there, your mouth hung open. "What the hell is this?!"
"It's just a regular physical exam." Hikaru said.
"I've seen malls smaller than this." You whisper shouted, speed walking to hold each twin by the arm, timidly looking at all the people and fancy stations. "This is so out of place for me. I feel so awkward."
They paid no mind to you gripping onto them, or at least tried not to. "Seriously y/n, you need to stop being amazed and scared at everything here." Kaoru said.
"I was amazed and scared of the host club when I walked in. Look at us now." You offered. Neither of them said anything but looked down at you. You then saw Mori and Honey dressed up in doctor attire. "Wait, what?" They put their fingers over their mouths shush you. "So obvious." You muttered.
"I have those two for back up in case this plan doesn't execute properly." Kyoya came out and explained.
"Why are they in doctor uniforms?"
"It helps set the mood." He pushed up his glasses. "Disguises make our mission feel like a real espionage."
You watched the doctor encourage a girl as three other nurses clapped for her. "This is weird." You said. "All the staff here are actually nice."
"Of course." Kyoya said. "All staff is chosen by the chairman. It is a school, but it's also a business. He wants the students to be happy, and most students here already have their own doctors for their families. So this, is just a formality."
You quietly scoffed and shrugged, shaking your head. You and the twins kept walking when someone bumped into Kyoya, and Kyoya's gaze lingered on him.
"Huh." The twins then began taking off their shirts to do their exams, and girls started squealing. "See now?" Kyoya asked. "Physical exam day is quite popular with the ladies."
"Hm. My physical exams in y/c had us also do exercise. Everybody was rude and just wanted to get everything over with, and that makes more sense than this." You then shook your head. "But girls here would probably still be squealing for that too because sweat is apparently attractive too."
The twins were being themselves and girls continued squealing. Mori and Honey took this as an opportunity to push you into a corner nobody was in. Tamaki then caught you from behind. "I've been waiting for you princess." He said in your ear.
"Tamaki senpai?" You turned your head.
He giggled in your ear. "You're so cute when you're surprised." He then stepped back. "This is it, the inevitable moment."
"What are you gonna do?"
He shushes you with his finger. "Don't worry, I'll protect you." You felt your cheeks tingle. That was until he put on a wig and stepped into the exams area. "I am ready to take the exams." He announced in his best impression of your voice.
"Hey, is Tamaki trying to dress as a girl?" One girl asked.
Tamaki was shocked, as if he didn't realize people would notice. The twins then bursted out laughing. "He actually did it!" Hikaru laughed out.
"I can't believe he didn't know that wouldn't work!"
Tamaki blushed and angrily grabbed Hikaru. "Why didn't you tell me it wouldn't work?!"
"It's payback for calling us homosexual supporting cast!" He laughed out.
Tamaki looked over at you shyly with big sad eyes. "Um, listen y/n," he timidly said.
"Did you really think that would work?" You asked, and your tone showed that it was a genuine question. He said nothing but pouted, causing you to glare at him. "Big words senpai. Small execution."
"Come this way y/n," Kyoya said. "There's a private room waiting for you."
"Senpai, you look like your enjoying this." You smiled at him. Tamaki dropped to his knees in the background.
Kyoya was smiling as well. "Well, I did need to get my revenge too. I don't appreciate being called supporting cast, homosexual or otherwise."
You both walked away as Tamaki weakly reached for you while fading away. You then went into a room with a female nurse. "Good morning Miss Y/l/n. It's a pleasure to meet you. I've been informed of your circumstances, so we can hurry along this process."
"Thank you ma'am."
"Of course. Step right this way please. You can undress in there." You nodded and stepped inside the dressing area.
The boys were listening to this girl cry about a doctor who supposedly made a pass at her. "I've never been so terrified." She cried.
"How scary!"
"Do you think he was a pervert?" This girls were huddled around her for comfort.
"I had a feeling this might happen." Kyoya thought out loud. "Earlier today I saw a strange man in a white lab coat, though clearly not one of our doctors.
"Shouldn't you have said something sooner?" The twins asked in an annoyed manner.
"I'm sure it's no big deal. I'm sure the security guard will catch him." Kyoya offered.
They still listened to the group in the back. "Tell me," said a doctor. "Did you see where this man went?"
"Yes sir, he was headed towards the private clinic down the hall." The boys were all silent as they realized that he was going to your room.
You had just unbuttoned your shirt, leaving you in your bra. You were about to take off your pants when a man went into your changing room and was peaking outside. It was almost like he didn't see you. "W–um, excuse me, but—"
He rushed over to you and covered your mouth with his hand. "No, it's not what you think. Please just be quiet."
"Y/n!" You both turned to see Tamaki in the air. "Tama-chan~ kick!" He kicked the man in the face and sent him flying into the wall. Tamaki then spun in the air a few times before coming down to the ground.
The twins then appeared. "One. Good looks that attract the public eye."
Kyoya then stepped out of the shadows. "Two. More wealth than you can imagine."
Mori then spoke up. "Three. Chivalry that will never be able to overlook,"
"The hideous wickedness of this world." Honey finished.
As you hugged yourself Tamaki gently placed his own shirt over you. "That's what make up the Ouran Host Club!"
They posed, with an exception of Mori and Kyoya, saying, "We're here, watch out!"
"Please don't hurt me! Spare me my life!" He bowed as you buttoned up Tamaki's shirt. He then got back up. "I run a small medical clinic in the next town over."
You were taken aback by the sudden fact. You looked at Honey, whispering, "Why is he telling us his life story?"
Honey shrugged, and you all listened. "My name is Yabu." You suppressed your laughter, since Yabu is another word for quack doctor. "You see, I came to find my daughter. My wife left me a month ago and took my daughter with her! I know that my daughter goes here."
You sat down to be at the same eye level with him. "Well now that I'm invested into the story, I gotta ask. What happened to make them leave?"
He explained that he kept giving people money and they don't usually pay them back. The latest time was the last straw, and they both left. "I can never say no to anyone. I don't blame them for not wanting to constantly live in debt. But I wanted to see my daughter one last time, so I wandered through the streets and was pounded by rain until I came here. But once I entered I was mistaken for a doctor, here to examine students!"
You smiled. "You mean they mistook the guy wearing a lab coat as a doctor? That's... wow."
"And then it happened," He ignored you. He then explained how he asked a girl for directions and she ran away screaming. "And before I knew it, there were all kinds of people chasing me!" He was bursting with tears.
"So tragic!" Tamaki was also crying.
"Pardon me," Kyoya said. "But I think you may have the wrong highschool. Are you looking for Ouran Public Highschool?"
"Yeah?" He stopped crying and looked up.
"I figured that might be the case. This is Ouran Academy, private institution. Your daughter doesn't go to school here."
He looked shocked, and the twins began to voice their opinions. "Man, you don't even know where your daughter goes to school? That's pretty sad." Hikaru said.
"Yeah, I bet your relationship's messed up because you don't pay attention to them, not because of some stupid debt."
"Wow Kyo-chan, you figured that out pretty quickly." Honey congratulated him.
"Well, the daughter of such a small business man could never afford to go here." You scrunched up your nose I'm response.
"Kyoya," Tamaki said. "Could you make a map of the public schools in this area? I'd like to help this man."
Kyoya looked surprised for a second, but smiled and regained his composure. "Whatever you say."
As the man got up you stepped in front of him. "If you'll allow me to give some advice." He nodded. "If you get there and school is still in session, don't just go in. Wait until she's finished with school, or else you're gonna look like a creep and she'll be too angry and embarrassed to talk." He said nothing and nodded, bowing. He left soon after, and you were all still in the private room. "Well, sorry to do this, but can you guys please leave now?"
Everybody looked surprised. "Y/n, are you still angry with me?" Tamaki said. "You're not going to quit the host club are you?"
You turned to him and smiled, patting his shoulder. "Don't be silly senpai. I need to get to that stupid therapy sesh and you need to put on a shirt. I just gotta take the physical exams and I'll give it back to you." You then turned around and smiled. "Let's get this straight though. I'm not doing it for some food, I'm doing it for my debt."
You giggled, and Tamaki smothered you with a hug. "I can see right through you! I know you're doing it for some squishy ice cream!"
He was smothering too much. "Okay, stop it! The shirt's riding up!"
"Red card!" The twins said in unison. They then dragged Tamaki out and everyone else followed.
You finished your exam fairly quickly and was guided by your nurse to the room of your therapist. "Good morning." She grinned. "Please sit anywhere you'd like."
You had decided right then and there that this was going to suck. There was fancy decor and expensive looking items. There was a nice looking couch and even nicer looking chairs. She had a desk that looked like it costed way too much, and she wore expensive clothing. This was all too much. You didn't belong in this room.
You silently sat on the couch. "I hope you feel your most comfortable self with me, so we can talk about anything you want." Her grin was still on and her tone was still chirpy. You said nothing. "Do you want to begin the conversation?"
You hesitated before speaking up. "May I ask about your background?"
"My background? Well that's an incredibly boring subject, but go ahead! Let's not have any secrets between each other, okay?"
You were silent for a moment again. "How were you brought up? Was it surrounded by things like this?"
You didn't try to smile. You didn't want to be here. There wasn't anything wrong with you, so there wasn't a reason to be here. Besides, this room itself was giving you anxiety. "Things like this? Well, I'm not really the materialistic person, but if you're asking me if I was born into a wealthy family that helped paved the way to my position, then yes. I was born into this."
Her smile never faltered, and you didn't like it. You didn't like the feeling of any of this. Exposed, you felt so exposed. It made you put your head down in shame. "Then don't you think you're a little overqualified to be talking to me right now?"
She was taken aback, but began writing in her notebook. She slightly nodded to it, as if she had decided something. "My, is that what you think?"
What the hell would she even write from that? That you have self esteem issues? That you're self conscious about yourself here? You deserved so much squishy icecream for this. You only shrugged.
"You don't seem very relaxed right now. Maybe we could talk about why that is." You shrugged again. Her smile almost left her face, but she hung onto it. "We can't make any progress if you we don't put in effort dear."
You sucked up your annoyance and smiled, bringing your head up. "If you want me to be happy about this, you could've just said so. And the reason why I'm uncomfortable is because this room is making me uncomfortable."
She then wrote in her notebook again. "I see. Is it the atmosphere? We can go outside to the garden if it makes you feel any better."
"Is this session a one time thing?"
She chuckled. "That's not how progress works."
"Then we can stay in here so I could get used to this feeling."
It was like she cornered you. She knew exactly where to strike. "Do you always feel like you need to comply to things? Like you have to be the one to adjust?"
You frowned. "Where did that come from?"
"Please answer the question dear."
"I don't know, I guess. I have to though. It's not like everybody else has to change their viewpoints to accommodate only me."
"Do those viewpoints make you upset?"
"No."
"I'd appreciate if didn't lie to me."
She seemed to have every one of your moves calculated. She suddenly knew how to outsmart you. "Sometimes, I guess. I don't know. They'll say a comment or two about how different commoners are to normal rich people. It's weird. I never considered myself normal, but I'm different for another reason here than before."
You wanted to slap yourself for saying that. She only wrote in her notebook again. "How were you different before?"
"It just sometimes felt like us against the world. The four of us were unbreakable and we didn't care that it was that way. I felt proud to be looked down on, in this weird way, because my friends were down there with me laughing at everyone else."
"And now?"
"Now I'm down there alone. Everybody looks down on me, but there's no one else to share that with. It just sucks sometimes."
"You have two separate friend groups that you mention. Do you feel differently towards the one back in y/c than here?"
"I never felt ashamed with my y/c friends, I guess. I don't know. They knew everything about me, and they still loved me for it. Maybe I feel like my friends here will just pity me if I open up more?" You brought your knees up and buried your face in between them. "Ugh, no offense doctor, but this sucks butt. I thought this was supposed to help me with my anxiety."
"And you don't feel anxiety when thinking about your new friends finding things out about you?"
You couldn't help but let out a laugh and fall to lay of the couch. "Damn it, you're actually pretty good."
"People can be more complex than you might think. Just as you feel like they won't understand you because of your background, you aren't giving them a chance because of their background." You looked up at her. She was still smiling.
You chuckled. "You really do suck." You then sat up straight. "Hey, how are other people like with your sneaky forwardness?"
She waved off the question. "Oh, I'm usually not like this at all. I normally have to go through this journey with them until they figure it out on their own. I figured you weren't like that and would prefer someone who wouldn't baby you. It's actually quite nice to get straight forward answers back."
You genuinely smiled. "I'm sorry doctor, I think I underestimated you."
She had a different smile on this time. "Hm. Tell me something that your new friends don't know about you."
"That's kinda hard. One of them ran a background check on me."
She chose not to push her luck and not ask about that. "Well, it can be a small fact."
You let out a sigh and looked down again. "I mean, I was at the store the other day and bought them all keychains. Once I brought them to school I realized how worthless this would be to them. So I just kept them.
"Pushing for a better relationship with your friends will maybe let them push with you. They might like the gifts. You don't know until you try it."
"Thanks doctor." You smiled at her.
"One last question, how did you act with your old friends? Were you touchy feely or more to yourself?"
"Um, touchy feely I guess." You then thought about how you and your friends never really had respect for each other's boundaries, though none of you cared. "Really touchy feely actually."
"Try to work on getting to that level with your new friends." She then checked the time. "Oh, it seems we just ended our session. I'm glad we got this far, and there's so much more to talk about. I'll see you next week."
"Yeah, okay." You smiled and got up.
"Oh, dear,"
You stopped. "Yeah?"
"Why don't you give your old friends a call? You seem like you miss them."
"Okay." You said, chirpy. "Bye!"
You walked back to the physical exam area, and everyone was just about finished. All your friends stared at you as you silently walked over to them. You didn't say anything and looked spaced out.
"Y/n," Tamaki quietly asked. "Are you mad at us for sending you to therapy? You're making a face."
"I'm just thinking senpai." You didn't look at him.
"About quitting the club?!" He grabbed you by the shoulders.
You gently poked his face and pushed it away with your finger. "About whether or not I should give you guys something." The bell rang and you looked at the twins. "Oh, let's go guys. Bye everyone."
Nobody said anything. You went to your class silently. "Uh, y/n?" Hikaru asked.
"Hm?" You turned to them.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Kaoru asked.
You smiled and hugged them both. "I'm sure."
After school you decided to use your phone and call the one person you know who also has a phone. The other two were also there, and the three were planning to see you as a surprise on Monday. Luckily, Jasmine can't keep a surprise to save her life.
You entered the host club with a big smile, setting down your bag to turn and see all the boys staring at you. "What?" You asked, still smiling. "Oh! The gifts."
"So you actually did get us something?" Kaoru asked.
"Yup." You brought them out of your backpack and walked over to Mori. You handed him a keychain of a small black belt. "I heard someone say you were in kendo, so I thought this would be nice."
He smiled and patted the top of your head. "Thanks."
You excitedly nodded and bent down to Honey, giving him a bunny keychain. "I thought it would kinda remind you of usa-chan if you two were ever apart."
His eyes shown as he held it in his hands. "Cute! Thanks y/n-chan!"
You walked over to the twins, handing them a tweedle dee and tweedle dum keychains. You didn't know how to explain this one, so all you did was nervously chuckle.
"Get it?" They only stared at it and back at you as you awkwardly walked away and went to Kyoya. You gave him a paintbrush keychain. "One of my clients told me you could paint?"
He smiled and took the gift. "Hm. Thank you y/n."
You grinned and walked over to Tamaki. He was like a puppy who was excited to get a treat. You didn't take any notice in the blush on his face, nervous yourself that he'd say something about the piss poor gift. You put a small bear keychain in his hand.
"I know you have a teddy bear like this, and I've seen your dorky led pencil with the bear on it." An arrow went through him. "So I thought this would be a nice addition."
"No offense," Hikaru said, staring at the gift in his hand. Everybody turned their heads to him. "But you know these are kinda useless to us right?"
You frowned, but quickly replaced it with a smile. "Yeah," you nervously chuckled. "I'm sorry. It's stupid, I don't even know why I got them. Sorry." You then quickly began to walk away. "I'm gonna get my stuff set up."
You made some special tea for your first guest since she mentioned last time it was her favorite. While you were doing this, Tamaki stormed over to Hikaru. "What was that about?"
"What?" He shrugged. "It's true. I don't get why everyone's acting like this is some treasure."
Kyoya began writing in his book. "According to my sources, y/n also gave her friends back home keychains. It's a gift that she can afford, but it seems to only be something that she only gives to those she holds dear." They all looked back at Kyoya, who was still writing. "Don't you think it's peculiar that right after she talked to her therapist, y/n said that she felt comfortable giving us each a gift?"
Kaoru didn't know what to say, and Tamaki grabbed Hikaru's shoulder. "Listen to me." He said quietly. "You have to apologize to y/n. She wanted to do something nice for you, and you showed your gratitude like a slap in the face to her."
He looked over to you in an annoyed manner, walking over and tapping your shoulder. You flinched but still mustered up a smile. Before he could say anything, the host doors opened.
He didn't get the chance to say anything for the next three hours, as you were always busy with a new guest. Over the three hours guilt began to plague him. Why was he feeling bad? It was a harmless fact. His chest felt heavy.
Finally when they were all gone, you began cleaning as quickly as possible. He tried to slyly get closer to you, but you noticed and kept moving to a new area quickly. It was annoying him. "Hey," he called out to you in a demanding tone. "Are you mad at me or something?"
You didn't look in his direction, busying yourself with cleaning. "No. Why do you say that?"
"Tch." He didn't have patience for the feelings inside him. "Why are you avoiding me then?!"
You, as well as the other hosts, were surprised by the sudden outburst. You let out a sigh, turning to face him and giving him a smile. "Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry that you had to raise your voice at me."
"Why are you still being nice?" He said in a quiet manner, embarrassed for yelling at you for no important reason. "I just yelled at you."
"Um, I'm sure you're used to having people's full attention." You offered a shrug, your smile still sticking. "People who're raised by hearing a lot of yes's are usually bound to be more demanding. It's only natural, so it's whatever."
"No it's not!" He raised his voice again. "You should be getting mad at others being rude to you. Don't be such a pushover!"
His words stung, and you dropped your smile. "Don't call me that." You said a little forcefully.
"You know what? Next time you go to therapy, work on that!" You didn't say anything and angrily continued cleaning while everybody stared at Hikaru. Tamaki was being held back by Kaoru, while Hikaru was just staring at you. Damnit. This was supposed to be an apology, but he made things worse. "Y/n—"
"No."
Your simple demand got everyone's eyes to you. Kaoru and Tamaki held each other from how scary you looked, while Hikaru stepped a few paces back. After a few seconds he was ready to retaliate with another comment, but before he could he was pulled back by Kaoru.
"Hikaru, try to calm down." Kaoru offered.
This got him angrier. "I don't even need her to forgive me! It's always been me and you, and we never needed anyone else! Why should that change now?"
They both stopped when they noticed you sadly staring at them. You then looked back at your cart full of dishes and rolled it away. When you came back you only saw one twin bashfully staring at you.
"Look y/n, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said those things, and—"
You began to giggle. "Wow, I never knew people thought of me as so much of an idiot to really not think I can tell some twins apart. Nice try Kaoru." He looked at you, shocked. You kept walking, before stopping to quickly say "I appreciate you trying though."
You walked over to the other twin, who was tied up and squirming under Tamaki's foot. You motioned for Tamaki to back down, which he did as you sat down next to the tied up twin, pulling down the tie over his mouth. "What was that for boss?!"
"If you cannot respect a woman properly, you will have to handled improperly!" You flashed Tamaki a smile for the comment, and he began rolling on the ground and muttering about how cute you are.
You turned to look at Hikaru, who angrily looked away from you. "So, I get it now." You grinned.
"Get what?" He shyly looked over to you.
"Why you're so nonchalant about everybody. It's because you're used to only relying on one person your whole life." He looked at you in awe. You really understood that. "Honestly, it's pretty amazing to look at. I wish I had a life companion like that."
"But don't—"
"Nope, still not gonna talk about that anytime soon. The point is, I get why you weren't concerned about my feelings, and the important thing is that you're thinking about them now...kinda. As long as you're actually sorry then all is good."
He looked away from you and muttered a sorry. You nodded and untied him, standing up to face the others. You let out a sigh and bowed politely. "I sincerely apologize for the unnecessary drama I brought to the club."
You felt a strong hand pull on your arm to lift you back up. You looked up to see Tamaki gently smiling. "Don't think you have to put your head down for us, and stop thinking of yourself as an outlier. We all enjoy your company."
You smiled back, and remembered what your therapist and you talked about. Try to become touchy feely with them. They're all still your friends.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, quietly saying, "Thank you senpai." You pulled back and saw Tamaki as a blushing mess, causing you to quickly yank back. "Sorry! Ugh, I knew I shouldn't have listened to my therapist about being more touchy feely."
"Actually," the twins said as they came to each of your side, back to their flirty selves. "You can do that with us!"
You let out a breathy chuckle. "You guys are so bipolar and I love it." You then walked over the Kyoya. "Are we all still hanging out tomorrow?"
He wrote in his book. "Oh course. Have you decided where we'll go?"
"Yup!" You grinned. "The swap meet!"
"Swap meet?" The twins asked.
"Well, I think you guys call it a flee market here in Japan." You then looked back at the twins. "Call me tomorrow morning so we can pick everyone up and go."
"Roger!" They saluted.
"Wait, y/n," Tamaki said.
"I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable Tamaki-senpai. I'll be less touchy with you from now on."
"Wait y/n! I did like the hug, I promise!" He sobbed.
You giggled. "You don't have to lie to make me feel better. Well, gotta go. Bye guys!" And with that, you left.
"Mama~"
"Is there a problem Tamaki?" Kyoya slyly smiled.
"What if y/n won't hug me anymore?! Who else would she hug?"
"Hm. Well, she could always come to any of the other host members—"
"Are you saying you would let my little girl hug you and smother you with love?!" He barked.
"Hm, if it helps her, then I suppose." Everybody else left Tamaki crying in the music room.

The Scientist’s Gamble - Part 1
Summary: "Attention! Commander Erwin has sent me here today with an announcement! In exactly one month an expedition will take place outside the walls!", Moblit pauses for a second, paying close attention to the reactions in front of him. "The goal of this mission will be..."
Note: I would like to thank my amazing wife for editing this fic for me, I know it wasn't easy and I love her very much. She has been nothing but supportive from the very beginning and her help is extremely appreciated as I try to find own my writing style in a whole different language. "Wait... So we're going outside the walls to capture a titan so that Squad Leader Hanji can experiment on it?" someone asks from the back of the room.
"Well... Yes, but it's for the good of humanity," Moblit says while he holds the bridge of his nose. The expression on his face tells you that he did not agree with this, but he is willing to give it a go so long as life inside the walls could take its next step towards the truth. "The Commander has given his OK, so this operation will be moving forward. Now, how she managed to convince him to agree to this is beyond me..." His voice disappears as he walks out of the room, all the while scribbling on his clipboard.
As soon as his silhouette is out of sight, the room starts to fill with murmurs.
"That's such a waste of resources!"
"We should be out there killing titans, not this!"
From your spot in the corner of the room, you begin to write in your journal everything you might need to prepare for the expedition, such as a new training schedule and what arrangements would need to be done.
"Y/N?" says a disembodied voice, startling you a bit and pulling you away from your to-do list. "Y/N? Are you in there?"
You look up to see Eren waving his hand in front of your face, almost failing to catch your attention.
"Oh, I'm sorry," you say, not looking at him, and not really sorry. "What were you saying?"
He laughs. "You really are hopeless. Would you like to come train with us?" He gestures at the Cadet group as they walk out the door.
"Oh, not today," you say, "I need to head back to my room to collect some of my notes and deliver them to my Squad Leader. I wouldn't want our next expedition to be delayed, you know!" Although you try your best to remain serious, the enthusiasm in your voice is undeniable.
He rolls his eyes and allows his lips to curl into a smirk, "We'll catch up with you later then!" he says while walking towards the door and just like that, you're alone in the classroom. Packing your things, you make your way out. You read the notes in your hands as you walk, making sure you only need to make one quick stop before heading toward the lab.
Once in your room, you look underneath every book, paper, and pile of clothes. You try your best to find your notes on titan deterioration, but quickly realize they are nowhere to be found.
Did you not bring them back after the last expedition? No, you remember seeing them just a couple of days ago. Could they be with old reports? No, you just checked. Did someone take them? At that moment, you realize that just may be what happened. After what happened with Annie Leonhardt, you didn't know who you could trust, and as a result, you've been being extremely careful not to misplace your paperwork.
Yet somehow your most important piece of work is missing. Slowly but surely, panic sets in. "What will I tell Squad Leader Hanji? I don't want to disappoint her," you mutter, taking a deep breath. Panicking won't help right now, so you do your best to pull yourself together, and gather all the other papers you need before making your way towards the lab.
You knock on the lab door rather loudly a couple of times.
"Come in!" Your heart skips a beat at the sound of her voice calling from the inside of the room. You open the door slowly, remembering past instances of her dropping glass beakers when startled. Luckily Hanji is just sitting at her desk, writing reports. Likely about the most recent past expedition, probably where she got the idea of capturing yet another titan to serve as her experiment. At least that would give Eren a little bit of a break. He really needs it.
"Squad Leader Hanji, I brought you all the data I've collected about titans from previous expeditions. The most common sizes, our studies on abnormal..." Your hearts speeds up as you notice her looking at you, but you can't bring yourself to face her as you speak again. "I can't seem to find the papers about their deterioration. All the details we've collected seem to be lost. I'm so sorry, and I'll keep looking for it. If I can't find it until tonight, I'll write you a new report from memory, I swear." You can feel her eyes on you, and it gets a little harder to breathe. Your lungs try their best to keep up with the speed of your rambling.
"Well, Y/N," Hanji says, getting closer as she walks towards you. Tears of frustration well in your eyes, and you expect the worst. You worked so hard to become her assistant, to earn this. The thought of it all going wrong would be enough to break you. You're vaguely aware of her rifling through papers on her desk.
"It's alright, dear! I have them right here. You must have forgotten them here last night. I reminded you to grab them but you seemed to be in quite a hurry." Hanji could sense the uneasiness coming from her assistant, her face softening as she pulls you into a hug, and it's desperately what you need at that moment. You breathe a sigh of relief now that you know you didn't mess this up. At least not this time.
You let your mind wander to last night. You had spent hours copying the indiscernible scribble-scratch of Hanji's field notes. You think of how you called her over to translate a particularly messy section, and you think of the way she gently touched your arm before her hand slid along your skin as she reached for the pen. The hairs on your body instantly rose, and combined with the chills going down your spine, you couldn't help the embarrassment that flooded through you. Before she could've said anything, you got up and ran, wishing her a hasty goodnight on your way out.
Your cheeks burn. No wonder you misplaced your papers.
But realization hit you; Hanji has her arms around you in a warm and comforting embrace. She's holding you, cradling you. The heat in your cheeks spread across your entire face, a dark shade of red replacing your usual skin tone. One of the reasons you wanted to be her assistant in the first place was to spend time with her. Your crush on Hanji isn't something new and has never been a secret. Everyone seems to know about it... except Hanji herself.
"Are you all right? Your heart is beating so fast," Hanji says, breaking the silence between you two. She pokes two fingers against your neck to feel the pulse, but you swat her hand away. You quickly pull away while looking in the other direction, hoping she doesn't notice your embarrassment.
"I'm fine, Squad Leader! Do you need my help with anything today?" you say, gathering enough strength to sound like you aren't melting before her eyes.
"Not for now. Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll be mostly filling out paperwork and preparing the lab to receive our new visitor," she beams, and the stars in her paired eyes with the excitement in her voice is more than enough to bring a smile to your face.
Hanji grabs your shoulders. "All I need is for you to study our past discoveries, but mostly prepare yourself for all the new ones we're about to make!" She begins to gently shake you, rocking you back and forth in her excitement. "Make sure to practice your 3D maneuvers as well, I wouldn't want to lose my favorite assistant!"
You feel your blush deepen, and wonder how she doesn't notice.
"Of course, Squad Leader," you say.
.
During the next four weeks, you spend your days mostly with your friends in the hopes some of their strongest skills rub off on you.
Mikasa teaches you how she handles her blade. You try your best to learn from her, but handling swords isn't your strong suit. But still, there is a noticeable improvement in your form. Thanks to her, your blades can firmly and precisely cut through a titan's nape without any problem.
Eren and Jean argue over who would help you with 3DM air movements until they finally agree that it would be best for both of them to assist you. This plan lasts less than a week until finally after you break up two fistfights and countless arguments, the two of them come to the conclusion that being around each other is worse than a death sentence. You start to practice on your own, but they manage to teach you a few new tricks, like being able to do a backflip before slicing the titan's neck, that way you would be able to move quickly and proceed to another titan in a matter of seconds.
Armin sits with you every day during lunch and dinner, keeping your knowledge on Titans sharp. He shuffles through bundles of cards as well as notebooks full of information. He quizzes you every day and corrects you when you're wrong. He's the most helpful of them all.
Reiner and Bertholdt do their best to train you in hand-to-hand combat. You won't need it, and Annie was better than they are, but they must have sparred with her enough for some of her moves to rub off, and you figure there's no harm in being overly prepared.
Krista teaches you what she knows about how to care for wounds with ingredients you can find in the forest. She shows you how to wrap an injury and how to do it quickly. Nothing new, but she is very good at helping others. Ymir shows up halfway through Krista's splinting demonstration, and you're pretty sure she only stays there so she can play the part of swooning, Injured Scout. Every so often she would let out a long sigh and moan about her fake injuries. "I'm so hurt Krista, please take care of me," she says. "If I survive this injury, please marry me Krista." You don't ask Ymir for help with anything, you know all she really puts effort into is charming Krista.
Sasha and Connie... well, they're certainly a good distraction when you need a break. Sasha tells you her hunting stories, and when she notices you're interested, her stories become much more dramatically performed. She recruits Connie to help her put on a play, and he plays every character in her stories: Sasha herself, the injured animal, even the sound of the wind as it rushes past the trees. They are exceptionally good at making you laugh.
The night before the expedition departs, while you're in your room packing your bags and triple-checking your list making sure everything you might need is in it. Everything seems to be in order. Flare guns, medical supplies, a toothbrush and comb. A sudden knock on your door pulls you away from your thoughts.
"Yes?"
"Y/N, can I come in?" says a familiar voice, and your heart skips. You nearly give yourself whiplash as you turn your head.
"Yes!" you call out, and the door creaks open. Your eyes meet Hanji's, and a familiar feeling overtakes you.
"I haven't seen you in so long. I miss you," she has a gentle smile on her face, and you feel your cheeks reddening as usual. Why must your body do this to you every time she's around? You signal for her to come inside, and Hanji closes the door behind her.
Hanji sits on your bed while reaching for your hand. She takes it and pulls you closer, excitement in her eyes. As soon as you readjust next to her, you impulsively wrap your arms around her shoulders. It takes Hanji by surprise, but she is quick to return the embrace. If only you had the courage to tell her how you feel before you leave tomorrow... but you can't risk clouding her mind with such thoughts. She needs to have a clear head tomorrow, and you need to be there for her no matter what. She may not know how you feel, but you need to remember her like this, just in case. You touch the rough fabric of her jacket, inhale the scent of her hair, feel the cold and hardness of her glasses press against your cheek. You just hold her, needing to feel her like it's the last thing you'd ever do on this Earth.
You wish you could stay forever in her arms, but you manage to pull yourself away after a few seconds. Hanji gives you a soft look. "What was that about?" she asks.
Your face feels so hot you're surprised you don't burst into flames. That familiar feeling takes over your body while your brain processes everything that just happened.
"I missed you too," is all you can say. "So, did you want to tell me something, Hanji?"
Her slight smile disappears. She takes a deep breath, as if the air in her lungs is about to be stolen, "I'm just a little nervous about tomorrow. I thought you might be able to help me calm down, but it seems like I didn't even need to ask," she says, smiling. "Do you feel ready?"
"Yes, I've been practicing to make sure I will not be killed tomorrow!", you say, forming fists with your hands and positioning them on your hips. You're proud of everything you've accomplished with your friends' help during these past few weeks. Hanji starts laughing, and you beam with pride. You hope this is what she needed.
When her laughter subsides, Hanji lets out a contented sigh. "I honestly don't know what I would do without you around," she says.
Your eyes widen, and you get embarrassed again. You can't help but look away. Her soft hand touches your shoulder, "I should get going now. I need to look over some details before we leave in the morning." She squeezes your shoulder. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
You nod. "Of course, Squad Leader."
.
"Our mission, the expedition to capture a Titan, will now commence! Give up your hearts for humanity!" Commander Erwin's voice echoes clearly throughout the scouts as the gate opens fully. While screaming, he signals with his arms and the horses sprint outside the wall in formation. The gate closes behind them with a heavy thunk.
The sky is a beautiful shade of blue, with very few clouds. The cold breeze against your skin brings chills everywhere it touches. There are goosebumps all over your body, but the excitement rushing through your veins is enough to keep you warm for now. You've been preparing yourself for this for the past month and you feel like for once, luck is on your side.
Right next to you rides Hanji. Her laugh rings out louder than dozens of thundering hooves and yelling Scouts. The Commander had asked you to stay by her side at all times, mostly to keep her from getting herself killed, and judging by the twinkle in his eye, you could tell that your affections were noticed even at the highest level of the Scouting Regiment.
As the formation rides out, Hanji takes a moment to meet your eyes, and you smile at her. Today is going to be a win for humanity, you think to yourself.
You could not be more wrong.

Unfinished WIP
This has been sitting in a folder for about a year now, so I've just accepted that I'm never gonna finish it. So here. I know it's crap, why do you think I dropped it?
The noon Summer sun shone through the window as Yu sat on his sofa. He was staring down at his phone. The screen displayed the words 'No New Messages'. A disappointed frown appeared on his face as he slipped his phone back into his pocket. He pushed himself off the sofa and glanced at his calendar as he left his bedroom.
July 10th.
When he reached the bottom of the stairs, Yu saw his uncle hurriedly collecting some folders from the table and Nanako hanging up the laundry in the garden.
"Hey, Yu, sorry but I've gotta head to work." Dojima informed the silver haired teen after spotting him.
"Yeah, I had a feeling." He replied with a small smile.
"Have you had a message from your parents?" The detective asked.
"No." Was Yu's simple reply.
Dojima's eyes widened in shock. Really? On today of all days?
"I just came down to get a drink before starting my homework." The teenager told his uncle as he plucked a bottle of orange juice from the fridge and quietly went back upstairs. Dojima hummed thoughtfully as his nephew disappeared from sight.
"Everything's on the line, daddy. They should be dry by the time you get home." Nanako announced as she came back inside, placing the now empty laundry basket down next to the table.
"Thanks, Sweetie… Hey, Nanako, c'mere a sec." Dojima beckoned his daughter over. Nanako shuffled over with a curious look on her face. The detective glanced over at the stairs to make sure Yu wasn't around before whispering to Nanako.
"So, it's Yu's birthday today-"
"Really?!"
"Shh! But it… looks like Yu thinks that everyone's forgotten… So, what do you say we give him a surprise?" The man suggested with a soft smile. An excited grin spread across Nanako's innocent face at the idea.
"That sounds great! What do we do?!" She eagerly whispered. Dojima frowned thoughtfully as he tried to come up with ideas. In the end, he decided it would be best if they kept it simple.
"Okay, look, I've gotta head to work, so why don't you ask his friends for help and set up a little surprise party, you know decorations, cake, small presents, stuff like that? Yeah?" He suggested, picking up his bag.
"Yep! Can do!" Nanako giggled.
"That's my girl! I'll see you later." Dojima chuckled, lovingly ruffling his daughter's hair before hurriedly leaping out the front door, not wanting to be late for work.
"Bye, daddy!" Nanako called out as he got into his car. She kept the door open as she pondered her plan of action. Which one of Yu's friends would be the biggest help? That was an idea hit her. She enthusiastically slipped on her shoes and grabbed a bag.
"Big bro! I need to buy some vegetables for dinner! Could you keep an eye on the washing machine please? There's some more clothes in there." She called out from the doorway.
"Sure thing. Be careful out there, okay?" Yu called back from his bedroom.
"I will! See you later!" Nanako cheered, happy that Yu believed her. With an excited giggle, she shut the front door behind her and began her jog over to Junes.
Goosebumps appeared on Nanako's arms as she wandered through the chilled section of Junes, searching for one person in particular. She scanned her eyes through the food as well, pondering potential snacks for the party.
"Dammit, Teddie! I just put those there!" A familiar voice huffed in irritation. Nanako giggled happily. That was the voice she was searching for! She skipped around the corner and found them arguing with their teammate.
"Yosuke!" She cheered as she saw him. The brown eyed boy glanced over in her direction, distracted from his annoyance at Teddie.
"Nanako-chan?"
"Nana-chan! Hey! Didja come to play?" Teddie giggled. Yosuke frowned at him again.
"You're supposed to be working!" He reprimanded him.
"Actually, I need your help with something." Nanako informed them. That intrigued the duo.
"Oh?" Yosuke replied, raising his eyebrows in anticipation. Nanako giggled and gestured for the two to come closer. The boys complied and leaned down, letting Nanako whisper in their ears.
"It's big bro's birthday and I need help throwing him a party." She explained.
"Really?! Sensei's birth- Uughh!" Teddie began to shout before receiving an elbow in the gut from Yosuke.
"Seriously?! He didn't say anything to us about it…" Yosuke whispered back with a surprised expression.
"He didn't say anything to us either! Daddy just remembered when he saw today's date." Nanako informed him.
"Did Sensei not know it's his birthday?" Teddie suggested.
"I sincerely doubt that…" Yosuke huffed as he rolled his eyes before turning his attention back to Nanako.
"So, what do you need help with?" He asked, spreading a soft smile across his face.
"Yeah, yeah! I wanna help!" Teddie excitedly chimed in.
"Um… I dunno… Daddy said to just keep it simple… Just some decorations and cake and snacks and stuff…" Nanako admitted with a confused tilt of her head. Yosuke nodded his head thoughtfully.
"Sounds like we're gonna need a lil more help, don't you think, Nanako-chan?" He remarked, pulling his phone out and grinning playfully. Nanako beamed brightly.
"Mm-hm!" She agreed in delight.
"We're gonna get everyone to help?" Teddie asked, mimicking Nanako's smile.
"Yup, it's only fair and besides, it'll make everything a lot easier… hopefully… Either way, I gotta go ask my dad if I can get off work early for this. You two go wait in the food court; I'll meet you there." Yosuke informed them as he quickly jogged off to the manager's office.
"Okay~!" Nanako and Teddie called back in unison.
"C'mon, Nana-chan, let's go! I'll buy us some ice cream!" Teddie cheered, gently pulling Nanako's hand.
"Thanks, Teddie!"
"I can't believe Narukami didn't tell us it was his birthday…" Huffed Chie as she leaned back in her seat.
"I know… I don't think he's ever mentioned it before…" Yukiko added with a thoughtful expression.
"He could've at least told me!" Pouted Rise.
"Keep dreamin', Rise." Kanji huffed back.
"Shut up, Moronji…"
"Whether or not he told us, it doesn't change the fact that it's his birthday and we should celebrate it." Naoto butted in before an argument could start.
"I don't really know a whole lot about birthdays… All I know is you eat lots and lots of delicious food and you get presents and you get to do whatever you want!" Teddie admitted, starting off sad but growing more excited as he continued talking.
"That's a good point, actually… Do shadows celebrate birthdays? ...Do shadows even have birthdays?" Kanji muttered with an intrigued frown. Rise nudged him and made a gesture towards Nanako. Kanji's eyes widened when he realised what he'd said.
"Shadows?" Nanako repeated, tilting her head in confusion.
"U-Uh… It ain't important, don't worry about it, Nanako-chan! Just me bein' weird! Y'know same ol' Kanji! L-Let's just get back on track and plan Senpai's party, yeah?" The bleached haired boy hurriedly stuttered, waving his hands around wildly.
"Real smooth…" Chie sarcastically mumbled as Yukiko struggled to contain her giggles.
"Yosuke-senpai? You've been really quiet, are you alright?" Naoto asked, turning the group's attention to the brown eyed boy.
"Yeah… You've just been scribbling in that notebook…" Rise added, leaning forward to try and get a glimpse at what Yosuke was doing.
"I was making notes of what we'd need to do and what we'd need for 'em. All we've really gotta do is decide who's doing what. Although… The hard part is gonna be doing everything without Yu finding out…" Yosuke muttered as he displayed his notes.
"True… Narukami is way too observant…" Chie sighed with a troubled frown as she scanned her down Yosuke's notes.
"Then, why don't we add the task of distracting him?" Suggested Naoto.
"Yeah, good idea." Yosuke agreed, quickly adding it to the list.
"Buying snacks, making decorations, baking a cake, finding a gift, distracting Senpai… I'd happily bake a ca-" Rise spoke up.
"No." Yosuke hurriedly shut her down.
"Bu-"
"No." Kanji repeated.
"Chie and I would he-" Yukiko interjected.
"No." Naoto objected.
"We're trying to make Sensei happy, not ill!" Teddie exclaimed bluntly. The three girls just sat there and pouted.
"Now that I think about it, Yu's the best cook of our group… Hmmmm… It's the best option, I guess… Naoto, would you mind baking the cake with Nanako?" Yosuke suggested. Naoto's eyes widened in surprise.
"I-I'm not the best cook there is… but if there's a recipe book, I should be able to manage…" The detective apprehensively agreed, pulling their hat down to hide their eyes.
"It'll be okay! We've got mum's old cookbooks! And big bro's been teaching how to bake so we'll be fine!" Nanako reassured him with her usual adorable optimism. Naoto's cheeks flushed a deep pink as he smiled back at Nanako.
"Yeah… You're right… I look forward to working with you, Nanako-san." He chuckled in amusement. Yosuke scratched that task off the list.
"Hmmmm… I think decorations is the one that's gonna take the longest, so should we put the most people on that one?" He suggested as he looked down the list again.
"Yeah… That sounds like it'll save some time." Chie agreed.
"Well, this goes without saying, but Kanji, you're up. You're in charge of decorations." Yosuke huffed.
"Sure thing, Senpai. I'm gonna make sure that it's the cutest looking party ever! Senpai won't know what hit him!" Kanji enthusiastically agreed.
"Although… Who's gonna help out?" Naoto asked.
"Um… If it helps, I sometimes make origami to decorate some rooms at the inn." Yukiko spoke up.
"Hey, yeah, I forgot about that! Yukiko's origami is amazing!" Chie cheered, sitting upright and grinning proudly. Yukiko just blushed at the compliment.
"Ooh! I saw this tutorial thing online about how to make origami cats and I wanna give it a try! Please? I know Senpai loves cats!" Rise excitedly pleaded.
"Well, alright then! Guess I've got my group! We're gonna need a shit ton of crafting paper…" Kanji stated. Rise nudged him again.
"Language!" She hissed.
"Oh! Sorry…"
Yosuke just rolled his eyes as he scratched decorations off the list.
"Teddie…" He muttered.
"Hm? What is it, Yosuke? You've got a scary look in your eyes…" Teddie nervously whimpered.
"I am going to put you in charge of buying snacks… DON'T go overboard… Understand?" Yosuke very seriously informed the bear as he handed him a wad of cash. Teddie squealed ecstatically.
"Whoo! Thanks, Yosuke! I won't let you down!" He cheered as he took the money. That's when an idea clicked in Yosuke's head.
"Hey, guys… What do you think of when it's Summer? I mean, when it comes to food?" He asked.
"Well, I mean… It's gotta be a barbeque, right?"
"Barbeques"
"A barbeque and watermelon?"
"Aside from festival foods, barbeque."
That's when the group realised what Yosuke was suggesting.
"Hell yeah, Senpai! That sounds great!"
"Ooh! My mouth's already watering!"
"Well, wait, hang on! Don't forget that it ain't our house! We'd need to ask Dojima-san's permission first!" Yosuke quickly reminded them.
"Um, I know daddy's number. So, you could call him if you wanna ask him?" Nanako suggested innocently.

War of Hearts
Chapter One
Rating: Mature
Main Pairing: Seth Rollins/Becky Lynch
Co-written with @riottbliss
Summary: Seth Rollins was once known as the Bad Boy Prince of MMA, now years after a career ending knee injury he's stepping into.the Octagon again not as a competitor but as his little sister's coach. Unfortunately for him the redhead across the cage from he and Paige is not only woman he'd just had a one night stand with but the younger sister and protege of the Finn Balor...the man that ended Seth's career.
Warnings: MMA style violence, Alcoholism, Implied Self-Harm (DM for details), Depression, Angst with a Happy Ending
Hunter Hearst Helmsley, or professionally known by Triple-H sighed with embarrassment, reading tweet after tweet from his youngest son Seth Rollins.
"What happened to him?" His best friend and practically brother Shawn Michaels asked, looking over his shoulder.
"Cody took him out of the press conference, Seth's hungover, blaming everyone but himself"
Shawn shook his head, "Kid is letting the hype go to his brain. He's all over TMZ, The Bad Boy Prince of MMA is what they call him"
"Seth is the best fighter in the world in his division. He's earned the cockiness but his lifestyle…." Hunter shook his head
Shawn made a disgusted sound. "Kid reminds me of me before I got my act together"
"Fatherhood is what made you get your act together. That won't work for Seth" Hunter clicked on a video of his drunken son yelling into a camera about Finn Balor that had gone viral last week.
"He talks so much shit about Balor being a low rent MacGregor, hell Seth acts more like Conor then Finn does."
Hunter sighed "He's turned this into a complete mess, I wouldn't be surprised if his team drops him."
"Hey, Dusty loved that kid, Dustin and Cody wouldn't release him until he stopped making them money"
Hunter nodded but looked nonetheless unthrilled.
"He keeps making excuses about everything. I'm this close to calling Steph"
Shawn nodded with agreement as the two entered Seth's penthouse, greeting a tired looking Cody Rhodes. "I can't do this anymore Hunter" he said in place of a normal greeting.
"You are not dropping him" Hunter said matter of factly.
"AEF is supposed to be for fighters that respect the sport, he fucks around and doesn't even show up to the gym" Cody said.
Hunter ignored him and went upstairs to where he could hear his youngest groaning in misery.
Hunter sighed as Seth looked up from the toilet he was practically hugging. "I'm twenty five, perfectly legal" he muttered, Hunter's gaze looking at the black and gold championship that laid discarded.
"While ago you would have treated that with respect" He said, Seth rolling his eyes. "Would you rather me puke on it? It's just a fucking belt' "
"Don't let anyone hear you say that" Hunter said lowly. "You're going to the weigh in today even if I have to drag you by your hair there myself"
"No the fuck I'm not, don't you see me dyin' here?" Seth whined "I'm going to fucking sleep"
"What the fuck happened to you?!" Hunter yells "Every since your Uncle Shane became your manager this is what you've turned into."
Seth looked unfazed. "Don't get angry because I'm better than you ever were" and shoved his father out of his way, flipping off Cody, and ignoring Shawn.
"What am I going to do with him?" Hunter sighed, exhausted.
"Knock his ass out?" Shawn suggested. "I'll take care of him" Cody rolled his eyes. "Britt and I will make sure he gets to the weigh in. I just need painkillers and food"
"I'm gonna go talk to Shane, I want to know what kind of garbage he's been filling my kid's head with" Hunter mutters
"I told you listening to Vince was a mistake." Shawn replies shaking his head "All of you let Vince snow you into thinking it was embarrassing that his mother managed him"
Hunter sighed. "I don't know what to do. I don't want to drag Steph back, Shane has a tight grip on him"
"Worry about that fuckface later" Shawn said. "Seth needs you, not him" Hunter nodded firmly, making his way downstairs to see Seth passed out on his couch, his dog Kevin and cat Daryl laying on him.
"This was our compromise" Cody explained. "I let him take a nap, he goes to the weigh in later"
"He isn't going to beat Balor in this condition. He doesn't spar anymore and his knee has been inflamed for weeks" Britt says quietly
"He shouldn't even be fighting. We told Shane but he says there's too much money at stake for Seth to pull out"
"Money money money"' Shawn mocked. "All he cares about is fucking printed paper"
Hunter ignored them and instead chose to brush back some of Seth's hair, his son unconsiously responding to it. "What did I do wrong raising him?" he asked. Hunter rolls his eyes at the look his older brother gave him "The truth" he says quietly
"No offense bro, but this family is a whole fucking lot to live up to and you weren't exactly shy about your expectations once Seth showed an aptitude for the sport. None of us were. I have to even ask myself, when was the last time any of us actually had a conversation with the kid that wasn't about fighting?"
"He's cracking underneath the pressure" Cody chimes in
"Yeah, he is and now Shane is filling his head with all these ideas about the image he should project" Shawn continues "Quiet guys who, play with their dogs and write poetry when their not in the Octagon don't sell tickets, but Bad Boys sure the fuck do."
*Later*
Seth scowled at his phone as Britt ushered him into the arena the weigh was taking place in. "I'm assuming you told the press he was gonna bail?" Cody growled at Shane who held his hands up. "They were gonna find out sooner or later" "Yeah yeah, no press is bad press" Seth said.
"Except the press says you're an asshole" Cody deadpanned. "Don't do anything stupid up there, or Mark is going to have a stroke" Seth didn't respond, instead heading up the stairs to the stage, where Balor had clearly made weight, despite being skinny. Seth took off his shirt per usual, standing on the scale.
"197 pounds" The announcer said, Seth smirking at Balor. The Irish man looked unfazed and rolled his eyes. Seth, in a act of annoyance, promptly flipped him off, hearing everyone in the crowd either laugh or groan
-Backstage -
"Gonna be fun beating your ass Balor, I promise not to hurt you too badly," Seth says cockily, slouching in a chair and putting his sunglasses back on.
"Oh, Rolly its almost time to give up your precious" Finn responds, "Clock is ticking boyo and your time is almost up"
"Mon roi, nous devons-oh shit" a pake woman walked up, speaking rapid French and stopping in her place when she saw Seth.
"Hey Seth" she said coldly.
"Vi" Seth responded, his attitude gone.
"He your king now?" "Surprised you even remember any French, from what I read, you've drank yourself through everything"
"It's what happens when you give your heart to someone and get it ripped in half, I wasn't enough for you, that's what you said right? I wasn't straight enough for you?! So you threw my ring in my face and left" Seth yelled "Cause Bisexual people, we're all cheaters didn't you know?"
At least according to Violet Gillath, wait I'm sorry Violet Balor now isn't it?."
"Stop it" Finn growled. "Before I knock your ass out now"
"Try it bitch" Seth snarled back.
Violet got between them and shoved Seth back. "Chaton, stop" she hissed.
Seth stumbled upon hearing his old nickname. "Why?" he choked out. "What did I do?"
Seth shook his head as if to shake his thoughts into place "Why Violet? Why did you leave me? You...you fucking broke me" he said in a small voice "I have the right to know why, just tell me. Why would you do that after everything. I was going to quit fighting for you because you didn't like seeing what it was turning me into. You get up on stage and you still sing my songs, but you said you hated me. I just wanna know."
Violet crossed her arms and closed her eyes. "I didn't want to be with you. You never signed anything so legally those songs are mine. I said what I meant, you weren't enough"
Seth looked like she had rebroken his heart.
Thankfully Britt walked in. "Hey, we gotta go"
Seth grabbed his title and held it to Finn. "This is mine. You can keep that bitch but you will never get this"
-Backstage-
"I've never known you to be biphobic, wanna explain to me why Rollins is convinced you are?" Finn said sitting down in his locker room with his wife a few minutes later.
"His uncle...manager, that bastard Shane got me my record deal in exchange for breaking Seth's heart" Violet told her husband "Seth hates fighting, he was going to quit and go on the road with me. He can't sing a note but he writes and plays guitar. We were going to be a duo. Shane was watching his cash cow walk out the door. So he threatened me and made an offer. Seth was the sweetest thing and he loved me and I broke his heart and let Shane turn him into that"
"If I could go back in time and slap him across the face I would but I can't" Violet said brokenly. "Shane has made it perfectly clear that if I ever tell him that he would ruin both our careers"
Finn hugged her to him. "I'm still gonna kick his ass" Violet slapped his arm. "Please try not to" Finn shrugged. "I'm undefeated"
"You know Seth is too. And the thing with being undefeated is that there's only one way down, being kicked off the mountain"
-Next Day-
Seth was throwing up again having had drank himself to sleep following his encounter with his ex.
Cody looked extremely tired and Britt concerned. "You have to fight in an hour!" Cody yelled out
"I don't fucking care." Seth yelled back "I don't even want to fucking fight." He muttered to himself, as he rubbed at his knee. "Come on fucking give already." He whispered to the inflamed appendage.
He knew what he was doing was dangerous but it was his only way out. If his knee would just give up the fucking ghost, he could quit this bullshit once and for all.
"Your sisters are out there tonight" Britt said, walking in, holding a brace.
"I really don't care" Seth growled, letting Britt put his knee in it.
"And your mom' Britt added. Seth took a breath when Britt touched his knee.
"Holy shit, it feels like its burning"
We're letting you go after tonight" Cody said angrily. "I don't care if you win or not, you've ruined All Elite Fighting's reputation"
"I don't care, I never wanted to be in your shitty gym anyway" Seth shrugged. "I'm going to get changed"

I hurried down the street, pulling my jacket close to my body, trying be to hold any remains of warmth I'd had since leaving my apartment. Seoul was covered in a thick layer of snow, the roads icy and slick and bundles of oil-based slush was built on either side of the road. People still continued on without a care in the world. It made me regret not getting a taxi or asking Jungkook to pick me up.
I shivered, turning the corner quickly and let out a sigh of relief when I saw the record store. It wasn't far from my apartment, but the cold made it a bitch to get too. I quickly pushed the door open, hearing the bell signal my arrival. I let out a loud groan when I felt the heat rush upon me, swathing me in warmth.
"Damn I haven't even touched you yet and you're already sounding like that" my eyes dart towards a figure leaning against the counter, shuffling through a magazine. His hair was tousled and messy and his cheeks flushed from the cold outside. Taehyung grinned when I rolled my eyes
"You wish" I walk past him and Taehyung chuckles
"I do. Isn't your little study group today?"
"Yes that's where I'm going" I say and Taehyung perks up immensely
"Hey you should ask if they'll let me help with the next Cypher. I've been asking but they never let me"
"And what makes you think they'll change their mind this time?" I raise my eyebrows just as Jimin came in from the back. His face split into a smile upon seeing me and he ruffled Taehyung's hair as he passed. Taehyung swatted at his hand.
"Wishful thinking?"
"Keep wishing then Tae. Maybe someday" I pat his cheek and he sticks his upper lip out and I laugh. I hop over the counter, much to Jimin's chargin, and quickly hurry up the steps. I heard the chatter of voices, and the room came into view. It was like Deja Vu all over again when the boys saw me. They immediately started their jeering.
"Well well well. I'd like to say I'm surprised, but I'm not" Jungkook teased. I rolled my eyes, throwing my bag at him it landed on his lap and he let out a grunt at the impact.
"May I ask why you're late?" Namjoon asks.
"Ice is slick Joon, and I didn't want to fall over. Excuse me for taking percaution" I roll my eyes, plopping next to Hoseok, who immediately threw his arm around me.
"Were glad you made it sunshine" Hoseok grins and I laugh. The only one who hadn't said anything was Yoongi, which was typical. Ever since he left abruptly nearly a month ago, we barely spoke. I'd asked him if Jin was okay, and he only replied with a 'Yes' and that was it. He never made more plans, never answered texts, and the past two meet ups he rarely spoke to me and it annoyed me to no end. I wanted to talk to him, ask him what the hell happened in my kitchen. It was like he was about to kiss me, and then he didn't. And now he was pretending like I didn't exist. It kind of hurt to be honest.
"Show us what you got. You said you finally added music to it" Hoseok says, bringing me out of my daze. I blink, and nod
"Yeah, yeah I did."I say, digging out my laptop, nervously setting it on the coffee table. The song was finally nearly developed. The rap was swift and sorrowful, the music paced to fit it exactly. I was just nervous how the boys would take it. They'd only read the lyrics, now it was fully recorded and ready for listening. I brought up the demo, pressing play and sitting back, nervously figetting the entire time. All three were silent as the rap filled the air, the music complimenting it nicely. It sounded upbeat to a nom-korean speaker, but the lyrics were of unrequited love, developed into harsh bitterness and deciding that it wasn't worth the pain, to get over it and move on. The last part wasn't fully true, I added it for some closure to the song but in reality I was nowhere near over Yoongi, even though he seemed he wanted nothing to do with me. The song ended, and Namjoon nodded, rubbing his hands together.
"It's amazing Y/n" he grins, and I sighed in relief. Hoseok and Jungkook eagerly agree.
"Of course you found a way to make the music compliment the lyrics. You're a genius" Hoseok says and I blush at the compliment "It's really sad Noona, but relatable" Jungkook comments. I thank all three of them, and subconsciously glance at Yoongi's silent form. Namjoon was the one who acted out.
"Yoongi?" He prompts the blonde. Yoongi glanced from the screen to me, and my heart clenched as I waited for his harsh critique. He always did that with our songs, pointing out the flaws while the rest gave good comments. He was the Simon Cowell of our group. But he didn't, he merely nodded his head
"It's good" Yoongi says, and that was it. The three of us were speechless, Jungkook's jaw was dropped and he looked at me with awe.
"You got hyung to compliment you Noona. You must be a goddess" he says, and I blush, shaking my head.
"Stop Kook while you're behind" I warn and he sticks out his tongue. I quickly shut my laptop and shoved into my bag. It was quiet for a couple of seconds, and then Namjoon cleared his throat.
"Okay, I guess now's a good time as any to announce this" he says, his tone nervous. "But last week I went over to another producing company and submitted my tape....and it got accepted" I gasped and the other three boys shouted and whooped. Jungkook threw his arm around Namjoon's shoulders and hugged him tightly. Namjoon grinned bashfully as we all hugged and congratulated him. His dimples were prominent and his cheeks flushed.
"That's great Joon I'm so proud" I say and he laughs, running a hand through his hair.
"Thanks guys" he mumbles.
"We should go out and celebrate that's great!" Jungkook says, and we all nod.
"Well, Jin wanted to throw a party this Saturday...." Namjoon trailed off. "So of course to guys are invited"
"We should get drinks though" Jungkook says "I'll drive"
"Not happening" Yoongi wrinkled his nose "the last time you drove is anywhere we ended up in a ditch"
"I didn't see the squirrel!" Jungkook wailed "And I've gotten better hyung you shouldn't lord that over me you're no better at driving" Jungkook pouts.
"I'll drive" Jimin leans in the doorway, keys dangling from his finger.
Half an hour later we all were sitting around a table, celebrating Namjoon's sucess. He was flushed and blushing, and kept saying how lucky he felt. Taehyung had accompanied us, always eager for free alcohol and food.
Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves. Hoseok continues to congratulate Namjoon, who's face was flushed and became redder the more he drank. Jimin and Jungkook disappeared hours ago, and Yoongi seemed to be missing as well. After the 6th shot I was fuzzy and lightheaded, and wandered outside to breathe. The cool air immediately hit my skin and my eyes closed and I let out a sigh of relief. The music from the bar was faint outside, absorbed by the air and contained by the building.
"You really can't handle liquor can't you?" A voice said, and I turned to see Yoongi leaning against the side of the bar. His dark eyes were a light with amusement and I roll my eyes.
"I can handle it just fine"
"Please, three shots and your rolling on the floor" he snorts.
"Fuck off Yoongi I was actually in a good mood" I grumble, rubbing my forehead. Yoongi snickered,
"Sorry. Didn't mean to ruin your fun' he says. I glare at him. "What?"
"You're infuriating" you growl at him. He frowns, blinking in confusion.
"What're you talking about?" I stalk towards him, and take a step back, eyeing me warily.
"You. Are. Infuriating. Min Yoongi" each word was expressed with a poke to his sternum, and he watched with a dumb expression on his face, which expressed he had obviously had a few to drink.
"I was just teasing Y/n calm down" he rubs his chest sorely.
"Not about that!" I hiss.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Hoe about you ignoring me for the past month? How about you leaving me alone in my apartment to rescue Jin? Or how about the fact you were about to kiss me?" The questions fell from my mouth before I could stop them. The shots betraying me to Yoongi, who's eyes comically widened with each one. I was shaking, glaring at him to answer my questions. He went silent, reserving himself.
"That was a mistake" he mumbles
"What was?" I instigate further. He ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the ends and he wouldn't meet my eyes.
"Trying to kiss you. I shouldn't have tried that." Hurt shot through my chest at his confession, even if I asked him for the truth. It stung. He could tell, It's must have displayed on my features. He took a step towards me, guilt covering his face but I glared and took a step back.
"Well I'm sorry I'm such a mistake then" I hiss, turning to walk back into the bar. A hand wrapped around my wrist tightly and I was stopped in my place.
"Y/n wait- it's not like that. Please listen" Yoongi said, and it shocked me because it was almost like he was begging me. I turned to glower at him, tugging my hand from his grip, but I didn't move. Yoongi sighed, his head bent towards the ground and refusing to meet my eyes. "I don't think you're a mistake. You twisted my words, as you always do-"
"Watch it" I growl warningly
"-but I didn't kiss you because I didn't think you wanted me to" He finished without pause. I gave him a dumbfounded look.
"Wait, what?" Yoongi groaned, tugging at the ends of his hair and scowled at me like it was my fault he was so cryptic.
"I didn't think you wanted me to kiss you. I thought you didn't like me, and I figured there was someone else."
"What makes you think there was someone else?" I questioned angrily, folding my arms
"Your song" Yoongi says. This made me laugh. The alcohol in my system had me buzzing and I could feel it. It was Yoongi's turn to be angry at me. "Why are you laughing?" He demanded.
"What does my song have to do with me being with someone else Yoongi? It's about being rejected from someone and unreciprocated love."
"The ending is about getting over them" he says and I shook my head
"I added that part. I never got over him" I say sadly, knowing I'd regret admitting that when I woke up the next morning.
"So there is someone. See? That's why I didn't kiss you. You're still hung up over some jerk who's too stupid to notice your interest in him" Yoongi says. I was quiet, my eyes on the ground. Then I spoke softly
"It's you"
"What?" Yoongi frowned, not catching my words
"You. The song's about you" I mumble. He stared at me, his eyes beginning to widen. I could see his thoughts multiplying, forming the words of my song to fit with how he'd treated me so coldly when I just wanted his affection.Yoongi's heart thudded in his chest, all color drained from his body. He shook his head, and backed away
"No. Not possible" he mumbled
"Why not?" I demanded, but he shook his head again. Yoongi backed farther away when I approached him.
"No" He hisses, his voice suddenly full of venom and spite. I stepped back, shocked. Yoongi turned away, walking quickly down the street until he was out of sight. I watched the spot where he dissappeared. Rejection and hurt being my only voiced emotions. That's where Namjoon and the others found me, outside and crying. Their happy uplifted moods suddenly dropped upon seeing my tear streaked face. They tried prying my reason for crying out of me, but I refused to speak.
"Just please take me home" I mumble. Namjoon called Seokjin, who was in the midst of sleeping and scolded Namjoon for being out late, but agreed to come pick us up. 10 minutes later we were piled into his car and being driven home. He frowned when he noticed we were one short.
"Where's Yoongi?" He asks. All eyes turned on me, I was the only one who last saw him. I stared out the window solemnly, resentment boiling my veins.
"He can be in hell for all I care" I grunt out, and the car fell into since once more.
